Die Gruppe, deren Kurzgeschichte gewann, möchte nun natürlich auch die Leser der Website in den Lektüregenuss kommen lassen: |
| Joe`s Island. One day Joe from Roman Britain wanted to ride with his horse into the dark forest, because he needed wood for a fire. He felt so angry because it was so black and he just saw the stars in the sky. He didn`t hear anything. Suddenly a group of men came and hurt Joe so badly that he couldn`t move. They took him onto a big ship and he just felt the waves of the sea. One hour later Joe could move again and the big men said to Joe: " You have to play the board-game against us and if you lose we will kick you into the water and if you win we will let you go." Then Joe said: " Let us bet that I`ll win the game." Two minutes later they sat at the table and started the game. Joe was very excited because of the game. In the last round Joe and the men both had a chance of winning, because both were very good, but in the last round the men were better and won the game. The men took Joe and kicked him into the sea. Joe cried very loudly. Then he saw land and swam to the island. He made a fire, because it was so cold in the water. After that Joe took a piece of wood from a tree and a stone out of the water. With these two things he built a spear and killed a fish with it. He cooked the fish over the fire and ate it. Then he found a lot of wood and he had a very clever idea. He wanted to build a boat he could use to go home. Joe climbed on a tree and took leaves he could use to tie the wood together. When the boat was ready he went home, but then there was a big storm which destroyed the boat. He felt the cold water on his whole body. The last part of the way he had to swim. That was very hard, because of the big waves. He arrived home totally tired and went to the baths quickly. After that he slept more than three days.
